A recent addition to my Amazon.com wish list: Less Is More: How Great Companies Use Productivity As a Competitive Tool in Business. Called "the new In Search Of Excellence" by Fast Company Magazine.
USA Today: Pass the turkey and the football - My highschool buddies and I could be featured in this story as every day after Thanksgiving, at 1pm, is the Annual Turkey Bowl. Our average weight per player has increased every year since we started playing our senior year of highschool (1988) and our average speed in the 40 yard dash has nosedived every year, however, it's still a much anticipated tradition.

Sports sidebar .... when will this issue about female membership at Augusta National be dropped!? Now Tiger Woods is being asked to boycott the Masters to send a message to Augusta to allow female members. First of all, what is wrong with a mens-only club? There are women-only athletic clubs. You don't see any men fighting to join those. Why doesn't Martha Burk expend her time, money and influence to build herself her own exclusive golf-course for women only!! I can tell you that if she does there won't be any men calling that discrimination against them! What I also don't understand is why people want to be a member of a group that truly doesn't want them? To make a point?! Gimme a break. Believe me, I'm against discrimination. But for crying out loud ... if it's the Boy Scouts ... keep it the BOY scouts. If it's the Girl Scouts ... keep it the GIRL scouts. Maybe I should sue the AARP for age discrimination! If the board of Augusta National only wants male members that's there right. Stick to your guns Hootie Johnson!

New site added to my "Sites I Frequent" list: marketingfix - independent e-marketing news (until we sell out). Authored by five marketing blogging enthusiasts so it should be good.
Great advice from Seth Godin: Cut class. Take a seminar on french literature. Interview off campus. Safe is risky. I couldn't agree more.
