MarketingFix: Andy Bourland Buys MarketingFix, Adventive; Launches Up2Speed - I must admit. When I read things like this i miss my days focused purely on marketing (as opposed to the supply chain ebusiness work I'm doing now). It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

Business 2.0: Putting Online Ads in Context - I would have to agree with Scott Moore, who oversees MSN.com and Slate for Microsoft: "It's potentially revoluationary." So what is it? Contextual advertising: the auto-placement of commercial links adjacent to relevant content. Why is it so big? Everyone wins. Companies like Google and Overture provide the technology, advertisers get better click-throughs thanks to more relevant placements of their ads, and of course, publishers find a way to fund the production of their content (something which has been hard to do in the past).
