Business 2.0: Making Broadband Bloom - Interesting piece by George Gilder regarding the state of broadband in the US as compared to Korea. It sounds like our government has really made a mess or our telecom industry. If our govt would ease back on the regulations we could have the broadband to the home nirvana (and the business boom to follow) that Korea has.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Work has just been crazy and life on the homefront has been busy as well. My wife and I are in the middle of the adoption process. We are adopting a little girl from South Korea. On Friday, after 4.5 months of waiting, we received our referral (specific child identified, pictures, information, etc.). Needless to say we're pretty excited. Three - four months from now we'll be able to travel to pick her up. I posted pictures online of gorgeous little daughter-to-be so that I could easily share the pictures with friends and family. Meet Katie.

CBS MarketWatch: Report: DVDs will soon be obsolete - Streaming and paid downloads will drive people "to connect to entertainment, not own it," the report says. . It seems like it will still be awhile before video-on-demand is in use by your average household ... but ... I have to agree with the assessment. "Hard" media is on its deathbed.
