Friendster
The latest social networking company that's getting some buzz? Friendster. According to VentureBlog the company was mentioned by John Doerr in a piece in the Wall Street Journal this morning. I've always thought these six-degrees-of-separation concepts were intruiging but it remains to be seen if any of them have an underlying business model to support them. As VentureBlog pointed out: "Does it feel like 1999 again?". I have to agree.

Blogging from the Apple Store
I'm posting this blog from the Apple Store on North Michigan Avenue in Chicago. This place rocks. Apple has done a great job pulling off an unbelievable retail environment that shows off their product far better than any PC manufacturer. And just yesterday I was browsing in a Best Buy here in Chicago and I was surprised to be greeted by an Apple rep. I must have missed the news that Apple would be piloting a program in Best Buy. The rep said that 90% of his sales are going to people making the switch. A good sign for Apple.
